It's easy to be tempted by the "quick fix" claims of dietary supplements promoted for weight loss, but most of these products haven't been proven safe or effective.

If something seems too good to be true, it often is. Be cautious if the claims for a weight loss product seem exaggerated or unrealistic. Be skeptical about information from personal testimonials about a product's benefits. Personal stories, unsupported claims, and opinions are not the same as objective, evidence-based information.
